Levels of Sponsorship
Sponsoring the San Luis Obispo International Film Festival is a great way to support this important cultural event as well as gain excellent marketing exposure for your business. We encourage all levels of sponsorship and encourage you to get involved in the Festival soon to take advantage of many months of promotion leading up the 2012 Festival. All contributions are tax deductible (Tax ID# 77-0367414).
Contributions $50 cash or more entitle you to become a Film Society member and receive the following benefits:
- year-round special event discounts
- discounts on festival tickets for films, receptions, workshops and Special Events
- early-bird opportunities to purchase passes and individual Special Event tickets
Benefits increase with the size of the donation. For donations of $500+, see chart above for benefits.
- Crew – $250-499 : Listing on website and in Festival Guide and two Movie Fanatic passes
- Movie Critic – $100-249 : Listing on website and one Movie Fanatic pass
EXECUTIVE PRODUCER LEVEL – $10,000
FESTIVAL PREMIERE NIGHT – This up-scale event honors an important film premiere, the weekend before the 2012 Festival begins. Evening begins with a wine and food reception at a downtown restaurant, followed by an exciting new film and special guests – Saturday, March 3, 2012.
SURF NITE IN SLO – The 7th Annual event features an ‘epic’ surf film on the Fremont Theater’s big screen, with guest surf legends and a lively downtown after-party with live music – Friday, March 9, 2012.
KING VIDOR AWARD – Closing night celebrity “meet and greet” reception hosted by local wineries and restaurants is followed by the prestigious King Vidor Award, presented to an individual who has made a significant contribution to the motion picture industry – Saturday, March 10, 2012.
HOLLYWOOD & VINES EVENT- A reception with great Central Coast wines and food is followed by a classic film, often with VIP guests in attendance – Thursday, March 8, 2012.
OPENING NIGHT CELEBRATION – Central Coast Filmmakers are honored at a reception at a downtown SLO restaurant/bar and then screenings happen at several venues around downtown – Wednesday, March 7, 2012.
VENUE SPONSOR – The opportunity to sponsor all screenings at major Festival venues: the Palm Theatre, Downtown Cinemas, Galaxy Theatres, Park Cinemas and La Perla Del Mar. Banners and displays at sponsored venue, featured logo at all Festival screenings and many more perks available. We’ll work with you to get the best exposure you can!
SLOIFF BIKE NITE - The 2nd Annual Bike Nite will feature a high-quality cycling themed film on the Big Screen and special guests, raffle and a portion of the proceeds will go to a worthy cycling-oriented charity chosen by the sponsor. Sponsor will receive 20 complimentary tickets.
DINNER AND MOVIE UNDER THE STARS – The superb restaurant Buona Tavola will host a multi-course dinner accompanied with a selection of wines with each course, as guests enjoy a great award-winning film on the romantic back patio under the stars. Receive 4 complimentary tickets and choose a non-profit to benefit from 20% of the net proceeds.
SING-ALONG HOLLYWOOD & VINES EVENT- This popular annual event will feature a lively reception with great Central Coast wine and food, and themed costume contest, followed by a classic SING-ALONG film. Receive 10 complimentary tickets and choose a non-profit to benefit from 20% of the net proceeds – Thursday, March 8, 2012.
A TRIBUTE TO HOLLYWOOD’S ANIMAL ACTORS – This unique special event will feature a special presentation focusing on popular movies with animal stars. Hollywood animal trainers will introduce several four-legged and winged actors, do a Q&A and introduce a film. A portion of the proceeds will go an Animal Rights organization and the sponsor will receive 20 complimentary tickets to the event.
Summer Youth Filmmaking Workshop – Four weeks of filmmaking camps for youth, aged 7-18
Behind-the Scenes Panels – A series of panels and workshops featuring industry pros, during the 2010 Festival
American Film Institute Scholarship – Supports a talented graduate student at the AFI Conservatory in Los Angeles
Filmmakers of Tomorrow Showcase – A youth film competition open to young people, grades K-12
Central Coast Filmmakers Showcase – Local filmmakers and films are featured one evening of the Festival
