Idyllic weather, happy film-going crowds and great movies are all conspiring this weekend to make for a fantastic SLO Film Festival experience!
Join us tonight for yet another great event when we honor the filmmakers who’s films you’ve all been voting on in the past few days. We’ll be awarding Audience Awards (your picks) and juried awards at 6pm at the Fremont Theatre. That will be followed by the presentation of our annual King Vidor Award to 2012 recipient, Sir Richard Taylor. He has just arrived here from New Zealand and is looking forward to sharing some fascinating stories about his career with Weta Workshops, the company he runs with his wife Tania, and director Peter Jackson.Tickets are still available for only $20 ($15 for students). This promises to be a very memorable evening you won’t want to miss! Read more.
One quick update – the MOVIE IN A DAY MARATHON has been canceled. We plan to reschedule it for this summer when it doesn’t conflict with so many fun festival activities, so stay tuned for news on that.
