Summer Filmmaking Workshops….are not just for kids!

The San Luis Obispo International Film Festival is proud to offer summer filmmaking workshops for the fifth summer in a row…and we are now open for registration. And this year they are not only for kids!

Choose from one and two-week camps, a weekend workshop and a one-day “Movie in a Day Marathon”, all happening throughout the month of July. In workshops you’ll learn useful and fun filmmaking skills from professional filmmakers as you become part of a “film crew” and experience a variety of duties. From story boarding, script-writing and casting to acting, cinematography, sound recording and editing, you’ll learn how a film gets made while helping to produce at least one original short film. We also offer animation camps that teach the fundamentals of stop-motion and claymation animation to creative young people.

For more details and to register, go to Workshops. And spread the word! These camps fill up fast so don’t delay…register today! All skill levels are welcome. Our instructors will find ways to challenge you no matter how much or how little you already know about filmmaking.

The 2012 Summer Filmmaking Workshops are sponsored by Rabobank and the Avalon Foundation.
