The San Luis Obispo International Film Festival and MidAmerican Solar present another great night of entertainment as the “SLO County on the Silver Screen” series continues with it’s 4th event on Saturday, September 21st. And this one is “on the house” (FREE!)
Starting at 7:30pm, on the upper terrace on Court Street in downtown San Luis Obispo, five short films will be screened outdoors, in front of Pottery Barn. This event is proudly sponsored by The San Luis Obispo Collection @ Court Street, as well as Silver Screen major sponsors: Visit San Luis Obispo County & Film Commission, the Boutique Hotel Collection, Q104.5 and the New Times.
Bring a low-back chair, snacks and drinks (but no alcohol please) and enjoy the following short films that were all filmed in San Luis Obispo County, from 1949 to 2012:
The Redemption of the Monster of Piedras Blancas (2012)
Chevrolet’s Roads to Romance (1949)
Fortune’s Favored (2012)
The SLO Experiment (2012)
Aria: Rigoletto (1987)
Bonus music video: San Luis Obispo by The Quiet Life (brand new)
Silver Screen Passes have just been discounted, so take advantage of the new low price and get yourself a pass. Great films are still to come, including MY BLUE HEAVEN (Oct. 9), ARACHNOPHOBIA (Oct. 30), and LITTLE GIANTS (Dec. 7.) A Silver Screen Pass will give you priority seating and some of these movies are going to be well attended so think about it! Only $50 for SLOIFF Film Society members and $75 for everyone else.
