Beginning in June, the San Luis Obispo International Film Festival will start accepting new films for the 2015 Festival. The films are reviewed initially by a panel of “screeners” who are a combination of film-loving community members, filmmakers, academics and members of the SLOIFF Programming Committee.
We individually review hundreds of films that are submitted to our three competitions, and come up with a strong program of documentaries, shorts and narrative features. It’s not an easy job…it takes many hours of dedication and the willingness to watch films you probably wouldn’t normally watch. But it’s a very important volunteer job and we are thankful to the many individuals who have been doing it for many years.
This year, we hope for an increased number of submissions and we are now watching most of them from websites, so we would like to expand our panel a little. If you are interested in being considered for this important job, please fill in this form and send it my way. It includes basic instructions and dates of commitment. 2015 Screener Form.
We are also always looking to expand our volunteer corps and there is information and a form here if you are interested in being involved in the next Festival in some other way.
All the best,
SLOIFF Artistic Director
