The SLO International Film Festival is offering two great early-bird deals! The first deadline is coming up on Monday, September 15th, when film entry fees for the 2015 festival increase. Filmmakers….get your films submitted before that deadline to take advantage of our generosity! We can’t be this nice for much longer…
To submit a film of any length and genre, click here for instructions, entry fee information and more. We also have a youth film competition which is free to all students in high school and younger – information about submitting is right here.
The other great early-bird deal lasts all the way through December 31, 2014, but that doesn’t mean you should wait till then to buy them. Our 2015 Festival Passes are on sale now and there are a variety to suit everyone and anyone. Remember, these prices won’t last forever, so don’t put off today what you could do the day after tomorrow.

THE GOONIES hits town – with
Josh Brolin as our special guest!! He will chat with Q104.5’s Adam Monteil (Up And Adam In the Morning) about his first film shoot back in 1985, and much more, right after a screening of THE GOONIES. Buy advance tickets now to secure a seat at the Fremont Theatre, on Saturday, Sept. 20 at 7:00pm. Tickets will also be available at the door. Advance general admission is $12 and $10 for students. At the door, general admission is $15 and students are still only $10!
Just to get you in the mood, here’s some vintage Cindy Lauper in a very goofy music video, singing the theme song, “The Goonies R Good Enough,” while she acts out the story. It just doesn’t get much more “80’s” than this!
