SLO Film Fest is looking for a few good “screeners”…apply now!

As we plan for our 23rd Annual San Luis Obispo Film Festival we’ll be spending the next four months watching a LOT of movies!! We started the process of reviewing competition films in June and our current diehard group of screeners is going to need some help to keep up with the hundreds of films being submitted to our growing festival.

We’re looking for a wide variety of community members to get involved in this important process. If you think you have the time and what it takes to be a film festival reviewer, please download the 2017 Screener Form, fill it out and send it back at your earliest convenience to info@slofilmfest.org.

Our new volunteer Screening Coordinator, Diana Federico and I will be reviewing your applications and hope to be able to add you to our team in September! Meet Diana!

“My name is Diana Federico and I was born and raised right here on the beautiful Central Coast. To say movies are a passion of mine would be an understatement. Movies are in my soul and have been for as far back as I can remember! I have a BA in Film from San Francisco State University and now spend my free time watching and analyzing as many movies as I can get my hands on and devoting my time and enthusiasm to the San Luis Obispo International Film Festival.”

king-and-i-2If you love movies and have an interest in volunteering for the Festival in some other way, please visit our Volunteer page and find out how you can get involved.

And…if you’re a classic movie fan, don’t miss 1956’s THE KING & I at the Downtown Cinemas in San Luis Obispo, playing on Sunday 8/28 at 2pm & 7pm, and Wednesday 8/31 at 2pm & 7pm.

See you at the movies!
