If you’ve been planning to buy a SLO Film Fest pass for the upcoming March 13-18 Festival, this is your last day to get one at a discount price. The price goes up on January 1st, so now’s the time to save and just get ‘er done!
The Movie Mogul Pass grants one person access to all films and special events (except events at Hearst Castle), as well as our Festival Lounge which will be open daily during the festival, with catered delicacies from our friends at Taste, and a variety of wines and beers from local purveyors, all carefully chosen by our new Festival Sommelier, Ali Rush Carscaden. The pass is regularly $350 but is $315 for one more day.
The Movie Star Pass is perfect for the person who wants to see as many festival films as possible. It does not include special events, but it does give the pass holder daytime access to our Festival Lounge from Wed-Friday during the festival. It’s normally $200 but is $180 for one more day.
The Movie Fanatic Pass is the ideal pass for a couple who only have time for three movies, or an individual who wants to see six. It is currently $72 but will go up to $80 tomorrow.
And then there’s the Weekend Pass which is available for all three weekend days, and will get the pass holder into all regular screenings (not special events) on any of those days. That one is regularly $50 but is $45 for one more day.
All festival passes give the holder priority seating and are a better bet than waiting to buy individual tickets which may not be available at many venues. And you save some money too! They do not guarantee entry however – pass holders are seated on a first-come, first-served basis, so you will need to be at the theatre a minimum of 15 min. before the screening time.
In addition, we are going to be encouraging downtown San Luis Obispo businesses to offer discounts to anyone wearing a festival pass, so you will find additional benefits during the festival.
Happy New Year to you all! I’m looking forward to sharing details about our 24th Annual SLO Film Fest with you all soon!
See you at the movies!
