SLO Film Fest introduces a new Festival Pass for newbies!

Do you know someone who’s interested in attending the SLO Film Fest but their eyes glaze over when they see there are over 150 screenings happening in only 6 days? I can be a little overwhelming…

We are very excited to introduce The Movie Newbie Pass – the perfect pass for the uninitiated! It will allow one person to use the pass for four regular festival screenings at The Rock at SLO Brew or the Fremont Theatre. The Movie Newbie Pass can also be punched for four people for one screening, or any combination that totals four uses. The pass is $40 and is on sale now at slofilmfest.org.

The Movie Newbie Pass is the ideal way for a first-timer to enjoy the festival without making a large time or cash commitment. There are four other festival pass options available, but this is the only pass that can be used by more than two people and is ideal for a movie-going group.

Pass holders will be limited to about 22 screening choices at the Rock and Fremont Theatres, from March 13-17. (This pass does NOT include Red Carpet Events at the Fremont Theatre.) Less choice, but still plenty of options for exciting new and classic cinema, and many movies that include Q&A’s with visiting filmmakers. And The Rock venue will include a full bar, on-site restaurant, and a state-of-the-art projection system!

Festival schedule will be posted on Feb 15 and will include 10 screenings at The Rock at SLO Brew, and 12 regular screenings at the Fremont Theatre of new and classic films.

Please share this with anyone you think might be interested in dipping their toes in the SLO Film Fest “waters” this March. Of course, we know they’ll be hooked when they try it. And you’ll get all the credit!

See you at the movies!
