We are already planning for our 26th Annual SLO Film Fest in 2020 and have determined the dates for next year’s festival.
The Festival will open on Tuesday, March 17 and close on Sunday, March 22. Festival passes will go on sale in late May with early-bird discounts, so stay tuned for more announcements coming soon.
Meanwhile, we are thrilled to announce that we have been listed by MovieMaker Magazine for the fifth time as one of the “50 Festivals Worth the Entry Fee.” The entry fee refers to the fee that filmmakers pay to submit films to festivals worldwide, and this coveted list includes great festivals from coast to coast in North America as well as a number of international festivals too. We are in excellent company and are very proud of this distinction. Here’s what MovieMaker Magazine has to say about our festival:
The SLO Film Festival is centered around its Hospitality Lounge, where moviemakers, press, and VIP passholders can mingle. Food and drink (from local breweries and wineries) is available, and the venue also hosts musical performances and weekend breakfast panels. Each moviemaker is assigned a volunteer Filmmaker Concierge. Festival Director Wendy Eidson says, “These volunteers make sure each guest knows when and where their screenings are happening, answer any questions, and generally ensure their guests are comfortable and content.”
