Every fall, the SLO Film Fest comes up with an exciting new ways to generate some FUNds for the upcoming festival, and remind you all it’s coming. This year we are planning three very unique events in October, November and December that you won’t want to miss!
For ONE NIGHT ONLY, the bizarre and hilarious world of Industrial Musicals comes to San Luis Obispo! Motivational show tunes about selling tractors, bathtubs, and dog food that the public was never meant to see!
The San Luis Obispo International Film Festival will host an unusual one-two punch of comedy and music on Friday, November 8th, as Steve Young, former David Letterman writer and star of the acclaimed documentary Bathtubs Over Broadway, screens the film at the Palm Theater and participates in a Q & A session before moving next door to Hotel San Luis Obispo to present a selection of vintage industrial musicals on film that can be seen nowhere else.

DRACULA at SLO BREW on SUNDAY, OCTOBER 27
Join us and Coastal Awakening on Sunday, October 27 at SLO Brew’s Rock for a spooky screening of DRACULA! This is the original 1931 movie starring Bela Lugosi with a bonus: an incredible Philip Glass score recorded in 1999 by Kronos Quarter accompanying this ageless film. Come early to enjoy food and drink from the SLO Brew Rock kitchen and bar available for purchase before the movie.
And don’t forget to come dressed in Vampire finery! You might just win a prize in our costume contest.

OUTDOOR FILMS at the FREMONT THEATER on Saturday, December 7th 5 Points Film Festival is traveling to San Luis Obispo and will play at the Fremont Theater for one night only.
