#MOVIES MATTER!

moviesmatter

Another #GivingTuesday is here and by now, you’ve probably been bombarded with plenty of Giving Tuesday emails. You may be wondering how to best use your limited resources to help as many charities as possible, while also supporting the organizations you love. We are privileged to be in such a giving community with so many wonderful organizations doing important work.

So why do movies matter?
Film helps foster a community, tells our stories and give us access to stories from around the world. We believe in exposing the San Luis Obispo community to diverse and important stories, stories that will help create change in our world, promote dialogue, make you laugh, cry and think!

Sponsor a movie!
One of the many ways you can support is by sponsoring a film. This gives you a unique opportunity to support a charity, organization or story that aligns with you. Our films cover a broad range of topics including environmental issues, art, healthcare, music, politics, mental health and more. Your support has a direct impact in getting these stories exposed to a wide audience.

Your donation goes directly to operating expenses like marketing, venues, rentals, film licensing, artist travel and much more. Movies Matter and we need and appreciate your support to help our festival continue to grow and thrive!
