When filmmaker Sav Rodgers watched Kevin Smith’s ’90s rom-com Chasing Amy at 12 years old, his life was forever changed. Developing a kinship with it as he grew into his queerness, he embarked on CHASING CHASING AMY to explore the transformational impact of the film and examine its role in LGBTQ+ film culture. As Rodgers examines the narrative and sets out to understand the film that saved his life, he is forced to confront complicated truths of his own that will change who he is forever.
