At more than 5,000 meters above sea level,
VICUNA SALVATION tells the incredible story of
the conservation of a species and the empowerment
of a community that lives in the Peruvian mountains.
With the vicuña producing the finest wool fiber in
the world and its garments costing thousands of
dollars, poachers and the black market led to the
near-extinction of the species. Alerting the Peruvian
government to the situation, global brands and
communities made a pact to only market garments
that were made with certified fiber.
