Sponsored by Minke WinklerPrins & Pete Petersen

After being released from prison on good behavior, a young woman living with bipolar disorder returns to her hometown in rural Iowa to reconcile with her estranged 12-year-old daughter. Going head to head with her family sets her on a course to free her cantankerous grandfather from a nursing home and live his last days on the run-down family farm. Sad, funny and often relatable, she struggles to maintain balance with her condition, her daughter’s well-being and her grandfather’s health. A moving film that pulls no punches while compassionately addressing life with mental illness. Stars festival alum, Tanna Frederick (Hollywood Dreams).
